  1.                       Anal Pruritus (Itching)
  2. SYMPTOMS. Signs include chronic severe itching in the anal area that gets
  3. worse at night and is aggravated by scratching and heat.
  4. CAUSES may include irritating soaps and clothing, hemorrhoids, intestinal
  5. parasites, poor anal hygiene, allergies, diabetes, jaundice, minor injury
  6. from defecation, anal fissure, anal fistula, urema or lymphoma.
  7. TREATMENT. Medication may be prescribed to provide relief.
  8. .Anesthetics or other ointments are not advisable.
